Christmas Telescoping Cards!

Here is some Christmas cards I made using a 'telescoping' card design which is a fun expanding card (I followed a tutorial on Splitcoaststampers for this design). I used a whole heap of gorgoeus Christmas themed stamps from Pink Cat Studio for my cards which are cute and fun to colour too! For my Christmas cards that I give away I like to make the one design and then just change the stamps and colours to save time. I made 14 of these cards!

Hope you like my telescoping cards!

I am entering my cards into the following competitions:
- Charisma Cardz Challenges Week 50; anything goes

Santa Scroll Tags!

I just love Christmas, it is such a great time to get creative and I love giving friends hand made gifts! Here I have made some Christmas tags to go with some Christmas cookies. I used my Cricut (love my pink Cricut!) and cut out cute Santa and his scroll using my 'Christmas cheer' cartridge and added some glitter to his hat and beard and put a little bling on the end of his hat. I inked the edges of the scrolls with distress ink and stamped individual initials onto the scrolls (I used the first letter of people's names who I am giving the tags too). Then I used my 'winter frolic' cartridge to cut out the tag itself. I stuck my tags to little containers filled with home-made cookies to give away as gifts to friends.

Hope you like my tags!

I am entering my tags into the following challenges:
- Cricut Cardz. Challenge #98; Christmas-tag your it!
- Fantabulous Cricut. Challenge #91; Trimming with a tag
Anything Goes. Challenge #56; Anything but a card (optional tags for Christmas)
- Top Tip Tuesday. Challenge #65; Anything Christmas. I have a top tip!; at Christmas time it is hard to come up with multiple designs for Christmas cards to send to friends, so I just make one design and repeat it for all the cards I need to make. I usually vary the stamps and colours that I use but the design layout is the same for all my Christmas cards making the process of hand making all your Christmas cards a lot easier and much less stressful!

Jingle Bell Ride!

Last month I was thrilled to win a challenge at Try It On Tuesday and i was even more thrilled when they asked me to be a guest designer! Our challenge this time is 'anything goes'! Being the Christmas season I made an easel-style Christmas card featuring one of the gorgeous horses designed by Crissy Armstrong called Jingle Bell Ride. I coloured my stamp with copics and added some glitter for added sparkle. I embossed my tag (on the bottom half of my card) and my background green core-dinations paper with my cuttlebug then I sanded the embossing back to reveal the core of the paper and added bling to the holly leaves. My red background paper was created with a Martha Stewart punch-around-the-page (love Martha Stewart punches they are the best!). My pointsettia flowers are from Hooked On Craft.

Please join us at Try It On Tuesday for our 'anything goes' challenge! I'm looking forward to seeing everyone's creations!

I am entering my card into the following competitions:

Sunny Australian Christmas!

Here is a couple of Christmas cards I made for some friends featuring two very cute stamps from La La Land Crafts; 'sunny Christmas Marci' and 'sunny Christmas Luka'. Here in Australia it is usually hot on Christmas day so when I saw these two 'sunny' looking Christmas stamps I knew I had to get them! I have coloured my stamps in with copics and added some glitter for sparkle (I seem to be using glitter a lot lately; I love glitter!). My circular sentiments are free from Bizzy Becs Store Blog. The design of my two cards is called a 'telescoping card'  which is an expanding layered card and I followed a tutorial on Splitcoaststampers. Telescoping cards are so much fun; I made a lot of them this Christmas!

Christmas Baking!

Christmas is now just one week away! Today I had some baking mo-jo and thought I would make some edible yummy gifts. I thought I would share a couple of pics of what I made.

Here is some cute little Christmas 'plum puddings' (these are actually biscuits with melted white chocolate on them). They are very easy to make and look very cute:

Next I made some delicious gingerbread cupcakes with vanilla buttercream icing:

I got the recipe for my cupcakes from a fantastic cupcake recipe book called "The Crabapple Bakery Cupcake Cookbook" by Jennifer Graham which has heaps of great recipes.

Hope you like my pictures!

Winter Wonderland In A Snow Globe!

We are now up to challenge #13 at Hooked On Craft Challenges and our theme for this fortnight is "winter wonderland". I am so excited that it is nearly Christmas, so I made a Christmas card featuring a snowglobe! My cute stamp is 'reindeer in sleigh' from Hooked On Craft and I coloured him with copics (how cute is he??!!?!!). I cut my snowglobe out using my Cricut and 'christmas cheer' cartridge. Over the top of my globe I cut out transparent paper to give the effect of glass and added some white coloured glitter at the top for 'snow'. My goreous poinsettias, holly leaves, bling, trinket pins, and sweet little snowflake charm are all from Hooked On Craft. I added candy cane stickles to the poinsettias to give them a glittery Christmas feel and I added diamond stickles to the edges of my snowglobe for added sparkle.

Please join us at Hooked On Craft Challenges for our 'winter wonderland' challenge! Can't wait to see everyone's papercrafts!

I have coloured her with copics and inked the edges with 'walnut stain' distress ink. For my swirly background I embossed some core'dinations paper with my cuttlebug then I sanded it back a little to make the swirls stand out a bit more. Criss Cross Card!

A big thank you to everyone who entered our last challenge at Hooked On Craft Challenges; your Halloween creations were wonderful! Congratulations to the winner and top 3! We are now onto Challenge #12 and our theme this fortnight is 'something punched'. You can use all your favourite punches (Martha Stewart are my favourites!) and die cuts for this one. For my card I created a 'criss cross' card where the centre pulls out. I found a tutorial for this style card here and thought I would give it a go. For my stamp I used one of the gorgeous birds  from Hooked On Craft and coloured him with copics. I cut the frames behind my stamp out with Spellbinders 'beaded ovals' and embossed one with my cuttlebug and sanded the paper back to highlight the pattern. My punched border is a Martha Stewart punch and I inked the edges of my papers with Distress Ink in 'walnut stain'. All my flowers, leaves, buds and berry head stamens are from Hooked On Craft. They started off white and I coloured all of them with my favourite Glimmer Mist (love, love, love Glimmer Mist!) in 'peacock', 'creme de chocolate', 'dragonfly' and 'dazzling diamonds'. My cute little key charm hanging off my ribbon and my bling are also from Hooked On Craft!

Please join us at Hooked On Craft Challenges, can't wait to see everyone's punched papercrafts!

Princess Meets Her Prince!

Here is a stair-style card I have made featuring two of the gorgeous stamps from La-La Land Crafts; Princess Marci and Prince Luka. I just adore La-La Land Crafts stamps, and I must confess, I own a lot of them now! But I just can't resist; they are too cute! I coloured Marci and Luka with copics and added some bling to them (I felt that Luka's crown was calling out for bling!) I cut out the castle and the cute unicorn in the background of my card using my Cricut and 'once upon a princess' cartridge.

Hope you like my card!

Exciting News!

I have some exciting news to share! I have been picked as one of the new Design Team members for Bizzy Becs Challenges! I am absolutely thrilled and so excited to be working alongside such talented people. Now, onto the November challenge (and my first as a new Design Team member!); this month the theme is 'circles'. This can be circles anywhere on your creation; circle card, scalloped circles, circles on your papers, etc. For my card I have made a circular easel card featuring a stamp from the Gorjuss range called 'toadstools'. I coloured her with copics and added some glossy accents to her hat and boots. I just love this range of stamps and I must confess I have bought many of them! My sentiment is a free one (yes; free!) from Bizzy Becs and I inked the edges with distress ink in 'faded jeans'. I cut out my snowflakes with glitter paper using spellbinders 'create a flake three' and added some extra bling (you can never have too much bling!). Gorjuss stamps, copics and spellbinders are all available from Bizzy Becs online store so go and have a sicky beak at all the goodies for sale!
